The primary issues that we support:

  1. We want Member voices to be heard and acted upon.

  2. We want programs that support women

  3. We want to be known for exams that are friendly and certs of the highest caliber of instruction and demonstration

  4. We want education opportunities that are so enticing that it is hard to choose which event we want most to attend

  5. We want prep clinics that are extremely affordable and provide reasonable confidence in higher success rates at exams

The Platform

  • Creative ski and ride events for all skill levels and ages, close to home, including Nordic and Tele.

  • Women specific ski and ride events.

  • Exclusive equipment & apparel discounts for members

  • More welcome communications with the Western Office

  • Improving Education Staff training,

  • Pay Education Staff more

  • Conducting industry respected exams

  • Increased interaction between Board of Directors and member schools

  • Support all disciplines: Nordic, Tele, Snowboard, Alpine Ski and Adaptive

  • Open door policy for the Board.

This is a great time for change.  Members are dropping out, disheartened by the irrelevancy of the organization or because of plain poor value. 

We can develop new policy and governance for better educational events.

  • Events closer to home for less travel.

  • Quality Ed staff training with better pay.

  • Events that are created for fun and count as credential units

  • Personal member school visits by Directors and Education Staff

  • National Demo team events in the region.

  • Training for the national tryouts.

  • Attention to all disciplines: Alpine , Nordic, Snowboard, Adaptive

  • Welcome ideas from working snow sport professionals

The team needs every vote from every single school in the west.  Everyone in your ski school gets 4 votes per member.

Endorsements from PSIA/AASI-W come from a mere 25 people polled. Not the membership of over 3000!

We are the most experienced members in contention. 

We are committing to get the generous and excited vibe back into PSIA-W.  We need to make growing in the snow sports profession fun and educational again.
